Why I Write

Honestly, I’m not sure how this happened. Nearly five years ago, I knew that God wanted me to write a fictional book about my and my girls experiences for the express purpose of helping others through the various trials that we had gone through.

I knew that He wanted me to write under an assumed name. I had the title and my name but somehow, as the book was nearing completion, I allowed myself to be influenced by a publisher that wanted to print the book. They limited me to only so many pages., so I stopped writing and never completed what I wanted to say. Long story short, the publisher of my first offering went under only weeks after my book was published and I did not have anyone to print it.

I went along, I think, because I was flattered that someone was interested in publishing my book. and that they would be promoting it. I realize now that it was a mistake. I don’t need to be a people pleaser, because they are just as flawed and clueless as I am. Interestingly , my charachter in the new book I just published deals with this issue. It is called THE CROSS ROAD Amiee’s Adventure. It is a Christian fiction novel that takes a plunge into the supernatural. It is, I hope a suspenseful adventure that will speak to the heart. A few months ago, God led me to finish it plus a Journal, so that groups or individuals can answer questions based on the text of the book and perhaps find some resolution for themselves. Praise God the journal is now available. The Journal relates Amiee’s Adventure, to your own in the form of questions with plenty of room to write.

Today, I am listening hard and praying hard. My joy in writing is mainly to reach people who are hurting, so they can be set free from doing the same things over and over while expecting a different result. The book is completed and will be a part of a series that will explore many different scenarios. As an Independent Author, I am now experimenting with a companion journal to help book clubs or even individuals better discover healing and freedom in Christ.. That’s all for now. The book is available in Kindle, Paperback and the Journal is also offered on Amazon.com under the name The Cross Road Amiee’s Adventure.

I will be posting my progress on the daily craziness that happens when you do something like this, so I hope you will join my journey.
